Show Me The Orders!

Without Daniel Maldonado this blog, and the website from which you got to this blog, would be minimally aesthetically pleasing. So, HUGE kudos to Daniel for all his help, vision, and execution on the site. Awesome kudos to Andra Seely as well, for her photographic expertise!

Now...show me the orders.  It was a busy May, June, and July for Just Jill Confections, and perhaps unlike me, most of the people in Austin are on vacation and are ordering their confections from cafes and bakeries in Barbados, or Europe, or Colorado, or wherever they are!

I did take a little time away from the kitchen to accommodate some needed relaxation, and a few visitors, and apartment decorating, and life in general, but now...it's go time. I have quite the list of experiments I will be working on and will need some taste testers - so if you're in the Austin area, mainly at BuildASign - because let's be real - I'm here five days a week and it's pretty easy to bring things into work, let me know and you can help me perfect my creations!

I am excited to see where Just Jill Confections can go...so help me get there!

Welcome to Just Jill Confections

Greetings Everyone,

Much to the chagrin of my waistline, I've always had a penchant for baking. It was easy to conjure up treats and share them with my people. I found solace in mixing (and tasting), and patiently waiting for a scrumptious treat to come out of the oven. I had never thought about turning my love into a business, but if Martha can do it, then so can I.

Just Jill Confections began after I offered to bake the cupcakes and cake for a coworker's wedding. I had heard they were in the market for a baker, and given my love of baking decided to reach out. I held a tasting (which made this a pretty legit way to start the business), and what had started as a favor to a friend turned into Just Jill Confections! Then, at the advise of a dear friend business cards were a must, next was the website, a Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram, concluding with world domination.

The name was a no-brainer. I am Just Jill through and through. Jill: just a girl from the East Coast with a passion for making people happy, whether through jokes, comfort, or filling their bellies with deliciousness.
